Rhymes about quantum-safe cryptography.

It is worth noting that I am not as pessimistic as the rhyme is; I am aware of many approaches to post-quantum cryptography that I do not address in the rhyme.

Untitled Poem

For decades the web’s been a merchant’s best store
Because finding factors of numbers is slow.
But soon with some quantum entanglement lore
Some fear that these shops will no longer be so.
Can the rational points of a curve that’’s elliptic
Or integer logs or residual classes
Together provide quantum crypto a triptych
To save shops the fate shared by landlines and faxes?
If not (and it could be the answer is no)
The economy’s soon due a near-mortal blow.
